Building Tools

To build their religious, military, funerary, and public structures, the Ancient Egyptian craftsmen created tools that allowed them to perform their tasks perfectly.

Mud bricks or masonry was used in the construction of buildings. Levels, plumb lines, and set squares were used to line up the walls of these buildings both vertically and horizontally. Some of these tools were found among the funerary furniture that was buried in the tombs of the chiefs of workmen.
